Bradley Scott "Burrhead" Phillips, 69, of New Holland, Ill., formerly of Washington, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in Springfield Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. Brad was born November 10, 1954, in Washington, a son of the late Paul Edgar and Patty Lou Yeager Phillips. He married Alison "Lorraine" Voytek, his soulmate, love of his life, and mother to their three boys, August 7, 1982, in Washington. Brad graduated in 1973 from McGuffey High School in Washington, where he played football, basketball, and track & field. He loved playing in Beer League softball until his boys were old enough to pick up a bat; his role then changed from player to coach. His passion for baseball was handed down to all three of his boys, and now his grandkids. His love of sports was not limited to any sport in particular, it was, however, isolated to the Steel City.
