B. Minott (Dobe) Wilkinson, 66 of Lincoln, IL passed away July 10, 2024, after a courageous four-year battle with Laryngeal cancer. His loving family surrounded him.Minott was born November 28, 1957, in Kewanee, IL to Charles and Margaret (Hughes) Wilkinson. He graduated from NCHS in Normal, Illinois in 1975. He married Donna Jean Leeper, his high school sweetheart on November 17, 1979. They had two children Charles (Kelly Riesselman) Wilkinson of Lincoln IL, and Emily (Brandon) Welch of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren Zoey and Charles Wilkinson; and Damian and Alexis Welch.Minott followed in his father and brother's footsteps by becoming a bricklayer. He joined Bricklayers Local #19 in June 1977, and later Bricklayers Local #6. Examples of his craftsmanship may be seen in the construction of several buildings in central IL.
